Shell-Shaped Pouch Crochet Pattern
Crochet Hook: G/6/4.25MM
Yarn: Size 4, Medium Weight, 100% Recycled Cotton & Polyester Blend Yarn by Lion Brand Yarns Re-Up, Color: Full Moon
First Side
Attach yarn to crochet hook using a Magic Circle (MC).
Row 1: CH 1, then place 8 SC inside MC.
Row 2: Working a spiral pattern, place 2 SC in the BLO of each st in the row (make sure you mark the 1st st) (16 total st).
Row 3: Alternate between placing 1 HDC in the BLO, then 2 HDC in the BLO of each st in the row (24 total st).
Row 4: **Place 1 DC in the BLO of st 1 & 2, then 2 DC in the BLO of st 3.** Repeat this around the row (32 total st).
CH 36, then in the previous st, place 1 SC. Place 1 SL st in the following 2 st, then cut and tie off your yarn.
Second Side
Attach yarn to crochet hook using a Magic Circle (MC).
Row 1: CH 1, then place 8 SC inside MC.
Row 2: Working a spiral pattern, place 2 SC in the FLO of each st in the row (make sure you mark the 1st st) (16 total st).
Row 3: Alternate between placing 1 HDC in the FLO, then 2 HDC in the FLO of each st in the row (24 total st).
Row 4: **Place 1 DC in the FLO of st 1 & 2, then 2 DC in the FLOof st 3.** Repeat this around the row (32 total st).
CH 4, then turn work around and skip the next 2 st. Place 1 SL st in the next 2 st.
Grab First Side shell and line it up so that the shells are on top of each other. Working in the BLO of the next st on the current side, and the FLO of the corresponding st on the other side (this should be the 5th st from the top), place 1 SC. Then place 1 SC in these corresponding loops going around your row, joining the two shell halves together. When you have three stitches remaining in your row, place 1 SL st instead of 1 SC in the next set of stitches, and then cut and tie off your yarn.
