How to Crochet a Large Candy Cane
How to crochet a large candy cane? In this quick and easy crochet tutorial, I show you how to crochet a candy cane in 15 minutes! This project is a part of my four-skein Christmas challenge, where I see how many unique crochet projects I can make using only 4 skeins of yarn!

Crochet Hook: K/10½/6.5MM
Yarn: ANY 2 strand of yarn will work for this pattern. Scrap yarn is IDEAL. If working the 4-skein challenge with me, grab the cream and varsity green colors
*NOTE: for the entire pattern, we are going to work two strands of yarn simultaneously like they are one strand for the entire project.
Attach yarn to crochet hook using a slip knot.
Row 1: CH 54, turn.
Row 2: Skip first 4 CH st, in the BLO of 5th CH, place 1 DC. Then working backwards, place 1 BEAD st in the BLO of the 3rd CH st (2 back from current st). CH 1 to complete the BEAD st. *Skip 2 CH st, then place 1 DC in the BLO of the 3rd CH. Working backwards, place 1 BEAD st in the BLO of the 1st skipped st. CH 1 to complete the BEAD st.* Repeat * around the row. You should have 17 BEAD stitches and 1 st remaining. Place 1 DC in the BLO of the last st of the row. CH 2, turn.
Row 3: Place 1 BEAD st in the 1st and 2nd BEAD st from previous row, then place 2 BEAD st in the following 4 BEAD stitches from the previous row. Then, place 1 BEAD st in the remaining 9 BEAD st from the previous row (20 total BEAD st).
Cut and tie off yarn.
