Attach yarn to crochet hook using a slip knot.
Row 1: CH 13, turn.
Row 2: Working in 3rd CH from crochet hook, place 1 DC in the BLO of each st in the row (11 total DC st). Turn work toward tail, working in the FLO in the CH stitches from Row 1, place 1 DC in each st in the row. SL st in 1st DC to join (22 total DC in the round). Cut and tie off yarn.
Row 3: Attach next color to crochet hook using a slip knot. Yarn over and insert crochet hook between ANY of the previous row’s DC stitches. Hold tail and place 1 DC in the spot where you inserted your crochet hook. If you don’t hold the tail, then you won’t be able to complete the stitch. Place 1 DC between each of the previous row’s DC stitches going around the row. Crochet over the previous row’s tails, and treat the CH 2 like it is a DC st. SL st into the gap between the 1st and 2nd DC st of this row (23 total DC st). Cut and tie off yarn.
Rows 4 – 16: Repeat Row 3.
Row 17: Attach the next color to the crochet hook and insert crochet hook between two of the previous row’s DC stitches on one of the natural folds of the sunglasses case. CH 40, then SL st into SC st to join and create a circle with the CH stitches.
Row 18: Crocheting over the CH ring and between the DC stitches in the previous row, place 1 SC in between each of the previous row’s DC stitches. When you reach the center (between the two natural folds) of the sunglasses case, then pull out roughly 10 – 15 chains to create a little loop. Continue to work between the next set of DC stitches and over the CH ring. When you get to the end of the row, SL st in 1st SC to join. Cut and tie off yarn.
