DIY Crochet Beanie – Day 13 – Extra Warm & Simple Beanie
How to crochet a beanie? In this tutorial, I show you how to crochet a beanie using the single crochet stitch. This pattern is extremely easy to follow. This beanie works quickly and shouldn’t take you more than 1 hour to complete. The colors used in this pattern can easily be exchanged to fit whatever color scheme you like.

Simple & Warm Beanie Crochet Pattern:
Crochet Hook: F / 5 / 3.75MM
Yarn: 4 Medium ~ Big Twist Value brand
Magic Circle
Row 1: 6 SC inside MC.
Row 2: Following a continuous loop pattern (we won’t be starting or stopping each individual row), place 2 SC in each st in the row (12 st at end of row).
Row 3: *1 SC in st 1, 2 SC in st 2.* Repeat * around the row (18 total st at end of row).
Row 4: *1 SC in st 1 – 2, 2 SC in st 3.* Repeat * around the row (24 total st at end of row).
Row 5: *1 SC in st 1 – 3, 2 SC in st 4.* Repeat * around the row (30 total st at end of row).
Row 6: *1 SC in st 1 – 4, 2 SC in st 5.* Repeat * around the row (36 total st at end of row).
Row 7: *1 SC in st 1 – 5, 2 SC in st 6.* Repeat * around the row (42 total st at end of row).
Row 8: *1 SC in st 1 – 6, 2 SC in st 7.* Repeat * around the row (48 total st at end of row).
Row 9: *1 SC in st 1 – 7, 2 SC in st 8.* Repeat * around the row (54 total st at end of row).
Row 10: *1 SC in st 1 – 8, 2 SC in st 9.* Repeat * around the row (60 total st at end of row).
Row 11: *1 SC in st 1 – 9, 2 SC in st 10* Repeat * around the row (66 total st at end of row).
Rows 12 – 44: Place 1 SC in each st in each row.
Place 1 SL st in the next 15 st.
Cut and tie off yarn, hiding the tail along the edge of your brim in the direction you were working, then back in the opposite direction. Once the tail is very small, tuck it up the side of your beanie (facing out) and then fold your brim up to hide that small tail.
