Magic Circle (MC): How to Crochet a Magic Circle (MC)
Chain (CH): How to Crochet Chain Stitch – CH st
Double Crochet (DC):How to Crochet a Double Crochet Stitch – DC st
Slip stitch (SL st): How to Crochet Slip Stitch
Back Loop Only (BLO).
Front Loop Only (FLO).
Crochet Personalized Photo Ornament Pattern:
Crochet Hook: G/6/4.25MM
Yarn: Lily Sugar N’Creme Cotton, Size 4
Attach yarn to crochet hook using a magic circle.
Row 1: CH 2, then place 12 DC inside MC. SL st into 1st DC st to join (12 total DC st).
Row 2: CH 2, place 2 DC in each st in the row – 1st st is current st. SL st into 1st DC st to join (24 total DC st).
Row 3: CH 2, place **1DC in st 1, 2 DC in st 2.** Repeat * around the row – 1st st is current st. SL st into the BLO of the 1st DC st to join (36 total DC st).
CH 12, skip 7 st, in the BLO of st 8, place 1 SL st.
Row 4: CH 2, place 1 DC in the FLO of the current st and the following st. **Skip the next st, then place 1 DC in the FLO of the following 2 st.** Repeat * around the row. SL st in the 1st DC st to join (24 total DC st).
Cut and tie off yarn.
Insert cardboard or cardstock inside the sleeve. Write a personalized gift tag or wine bottle marker message, or insert a photo and you have a very simple personalized photo ornament!
