This loofa would make an excellent addition to a birthday present, wedding shower, baby shower, housewarming party, or mother’s day gift.  For this series, I am going to see how many different projects I can make with only two skeins of yarn for a mother’s day gift basket that is almost all homemade.

Yarn: Size 4 Medium
Crochet Hook Size: I / 9
Row 1: CH 3, SL into back bump of 1st CH st.
Row 2: *CH 5, 1 SC inside circle created in Row 1* (this should create a second small circle). Repeat * four more times.  This will leave you with 5 circles around the original circle.
Row 3: SC into the 1st circle created in Row 2.  *CH 5, 1 SC inside circle created in Row 2* Repeat this four more times in the first circle.  Then repeat these steps for the other 4 circles created in Row 2.  You should have 25 small circles at the end of this row.
Row 4: SC into the 1st circle created in Row 3.  *CH 5, 1 SC inside circle created in Row 3* Repeat this four more times in the first circle.  Then repeat these steps for the other 24 circles created in Row 3.  You should have 125 small circles at the end of this row.
OPTIONAL: Repeat this process for 1 more row, creating 625 small circles at the end of your row.
Finish this off by placing SC stitches inside the circles leading back to your original circle created in Row 1.  Once you have made it back to the original circle, CH 25.  Place a SC on the opposite side of the circle.  This will create a loop.  Tie off and cut your tails so you can’t see them anymore.
