Round Purse Handles – Medium

Crochet Hook: K/10.5/6.5MM
Yarn: Lion Brand Yarns Re-Up, Recycled Cotton & Polyester Blend Yarn that is Size 4, Medium Weight.

Color: Portobello

*NOTE: this pattern works with TWO strands of yarn at the same time.  You can use any size yarn that you have, but keep in mind that you might need to adjust the size of your crochet hook accordingly.

Working with the two ends of your strands of yarn as if they are one strand, attach them to your crochet hook using a slip knot.

Row 1: CH  36 & place 1 SL st in the 1st CH st to join.

Row 2: CH 1, working in the current st, place 1 SC in the BLO, then place 1 SC in the BLO of the remaining st in the row.  Skip the SL st and CH 1 at the end of the row, then place 1 SL st in the 1st SC to join (36 total).  I suggest working over your starting tail in this row.

Row 3: CH 1, then place 1 SC in each st in the row (36 total).  Skip the SL st & CH 1 at the end of the row, placing 1 SL st in the 1st SC to join.

Row 4: Repeat Row 3.

Row 5: Fold ring in half lengthwise, then place 55 SC st over the ring.  SL st in 1st SC to join.

Cut and tie off yarn, hiding the ending tails in the loops created in the last row.
